Kadampa Festivals

International Festivals

Festivals are a spiritual holiday like no other. They give us an opportunity to step away from the busyness of daily life and to make time for our inner spiritual development for a concentrated period of time. In this way we accelerate our meditation practice, deepening our understanding and experience in a relatively short period of time.

There is a beautiful rhythm to International Festivals. First, we hear the teachings and every day we meditate on their meaning. Then, while the teachings are fresh in our mind we engage in retreat.

This design came from the kindness of Venerable Geshe-la as a method to guide us to a deeper experience of Dharma.

Every year there are three International Festivals. The Spring Festival and Summer Festival take place at Manjushri KMC in the Lake District of northern England. The Fall Festival changes location each year.

Everyone is welcome!
