Tara Empowerment
Wisdom in Action
Saturday, March 28 - 10:00am to 4:00pm
Empowerment: 10:00am-12:00pm | Lunch break | Teaching & Meditation: 1:30-2:30pm & 3:00-4:00pm
Tara is a female Buddha, a manifestation of the ultimate wisdom of all Buddhas. She is understood as our common mother, our Holy Mother. When we are young, we turn to our worldly mother for help: she protects us from danger, provides for our needs, and guides our learning and development. In a similar way, as we grow spiritually we can turn to Tara, for protection, guidance, and refuge.
The empowerment is a blissful guided meditation that has been passed down for centuries. Through this ceremony, we are drawn into the clear wisdom energy of the enlightened mind itself. In the commentary that follows, Gen Khedrub will explain how we can maintain our connection with Buddha Tara through formal meditation and throughout our day, allowing us to continually access our potential for greater and greater wisdom.
This empowerment will led by KMCB Resident Teacher, Gen Khedrub at our Cambridge location. You can read more about him on our Teachers page
